HALLOWEEN, the best holiday of all time!!! It's all about some of my favorite things: costumes, scary movies, monsters. its still fun even when you
have been fighting real actual vampires and ghosts and all that junk. and i hope everyone had a great time because mine was a little crazy this year, because the real monsters didn't take the night off.
Lizzie left town early to go on her "birthday vacation" and she's basically going to be gone for like 3 WEEKS which
SUCKS because how am i supposed to spend Halloween without my best friend??? she's been looking forward to this though so I guess I should just get over it. She WILL be back (right???)
i managed to convince Herma and Miles to come with me to check out the halloween setup at the downtown pier though!! sure, herma and me are still... weird and Miles keeps shuddering every time he sees someone go by with a toga and wings AND neither of them wanted to dress up (i went as Jason voorhees the freddy vs jason version BTW) but you know, theyre my
friends!!! and any company is better than none. Maybe i should have asked if Bishop was into halloween...
it was really fun (at first..) But we ended up running into someone I went to highschool with. Their name is JC and they were also friends with Lizzie but we never really talked. or hanged out. I pretty much couldn't remember her name but they did change
so much. he's back in town i guess tho. I don't know why you wouldn't want to come BACK to Eureka after you got out of here but. whatever.
they were poking at this whole pile of animal corpses with their boyfriend which was WEIRD but not as weird as some weird bone spider thing jumping out at me. I was able to get out of the way by hiding behind herma though :)
Then a friend of that kid Connor got her whole forearm stolen?! They said it was some strange hooded figure by the beach and we went down to investigate. at the far end of the beach is this cave. i've definitely tried to go in
once when I was a kid, when my family went to the boardwalk for the afternoon. but i got in
big trouble when I got caught running that far down the beach. I got to finally go in though! And I'm glad i didn't back then because the floor was COVERED in bones (and I had to take my shoes off to wade into the water...). Inthe deepest chamber was a giant web of bones!! it was some freaky stuff. Miles was keeping watch and had an encounter with the hooded figure... which took one of his
FINGERS!!!!! Just like it wasn't there in the first place!
The next morning we went to do some research at the Crooked Starling (AND check up on Connor). we found out this thing was some kind of Bone Collector (duh) and it covers itself up with all these robes and a hat and shit but it's actually a bunch of animated bones. it can crush bones into dust and coat them to make them move around. And it also apparently looooves collecting from magical beings and people in contact with magic. so that's like ALL of us. At least miles and Herma were probably a bit more enticing than me...
JC was also researching there! Apparently he's also into supernatural stuff and actually knows some
magic. kind of crazy. But he decided to come help us out since we were one fighter down.
The bone Collectors weak point is its web, and I read that it kind of works like a windchime i guess. And if you could find the right wind frequency, it could probably shatter the whole thing. So we got a BIG box fan and made plan.
The idea was JC would lure the Collector away by doing some magic, and then we'd sneak into the cave and blow the web to pieces. Herma put up a barrier too to keep the creep out once it realized what was up. but uh then a bunch of bone spiders came out of the wall. and Herma's barrier started to
flicker. I think something is up with them... I FINALLY destroyed the web but the monster was still going after everyone.
When i got to the entrance there was this small blonde guy fighting with everyone. that was
REUEL who was Herma's angel in Heaven.
Who IS herma's angel. that they never told me about. They knew me though
ANYWAY in an
awesome and
amazing monster hunter move, I got my fan right into that bastard's ribs and blew it to hell!!! another day saved by ESPIO "NIGHTCRAWLER" KRALL!!!!
I kind of needed a break after. i don't usually make a big thing out of my birthday. I mean, i haven't in a while. But I did just save a bunch of people from getting their bones stolen, so maybe I deserved to celebrate
something. I was feeling lonely too, i guess. Lizzie was out of town with no service so i couldn't even CALL her. and herma and Miles... you get it. So I ended up asking Bishop if he wanted to meet me at that Vietnamese place I really like for lunch. i didn't TELL him it was my birthday. I didn't want to make a big deal or anything.
but I'm glad I asked. it was fun. They're uh. they're nice to talk to. I can kind of open up about whatever and he just takes it in and i feel like he REALLY hears me. i know I should probably be careful with what I say and everything because he
is with Bellepheron but i don't feel like Im talking to an agent when i'm with him, even when we're talking about killing monsters. He's just Bishop.
and don't worry, me and Herma did find a spell that got that kid and Miles' bones back!!!
