hey!! It's the nightcrawler again! i know it's probably felt like forever since i last made an entry but i've been taking some time to chill out and spend some time with my boyfriend :) or at least I'm TRYING to. (He's letting a friend stay with him right now and she's nice and needs somewhere to crash and but...)
whatever!! anyway!! It's all fine because we got to hang out anyway on this last hunt!
Lizzie came back from her birthday trip (YES!!!!!) to find out that her coworker's boyfriend got killed while they were up at Lovers Peak. it was totally gnarly the guy's whole torso was just cut open. The coworker said he left the car to get help after it broke down and he never came back, but she saw some person with HOOKS for hands out in the rain when she made a run for it. It was just like all of those stories i heard thrown around when i was growing up or like Lover's Lane or some shit. Liz, Miles and me went to go scope out the scene and I ended up getting some ACTUAL REAL ORBS on camera!! (i'll put the photos up later!) So that kinda meant this hook man was NOT some escaped criminal and actually a spirit.
we talked with some folks we know who are more in-the-know about the supernatural stuff around here. One of them had the theory that the Hookman gets its power from the young couples it hunts. Basically it gets stronger and is able to screw with your car or start a huge thunderstorm if you get too cozy too close to it. So MAYBE if you don't have any sexual, or like, romantic attraction, that'll put it at a disadvantage. lucky for us we have Miles! that also meant we needed to have a young couple to actually draw the hook out... which meant me and Bishop.... (i'm not going to COMPLAIN that get to sit alone in the car with him in the woods..)
So we went up there and miles and lizzie got out so they would be able to ambush the guy when he tried to hook Bishop and me. ...i'm not going to tell you what happened next... that's between the two of us... but the Hookman DID show up! the car engine was cut out and there was a BIG flash of lightning right near us.
then miles TOTALLY GOT THAT GUY. turns out it actually has these claws that LOOK like hooks. anyways Miles totally tore into him and Lizzie got in a good stab too. The hookman was still REALLY dangerous though, so the three of us kinda didn't get out clean... i'm still really mad i wasn't able to do much. I ran out to help the other two but i got sort of... i'm still not really sure what happened. point is, i got tripped up and ended up not being much help -_-
and then i think Miles shoved the Hookman under the car??? i don't know, i still had the most KILLER headache and i could barely see or hear anything. Lizzie might have also destroyed its ankle? Then Bishop jumped in and blew the shoulder off of the thing with a salt round (<3) he even let me get the last shot in after i finally got my shit together.
so yeah, hookman. piece of work. maybe shouldn't have been such an uptight jerk
